This brings me to a video I saw recently in one of my spontaneous video exploration sessions. Anyways, this Buddhist Monk Thich Nhat Hanh was speaking of all the conditions necessary to light a match. The presence of the match, the texture of the striking strip, the action and intention of the hand, the oxygen in the air, the humidity not being too high, etc. But this is a great metaphor to expand on. If we begin to view life's events in this context- as every moment being manifested only as a consequence of a unique set of conditions- then we can begin to look analytically at our life in terms of happiness, growth, and also motivation. Then we become the Scientist of setting and adjusting the variables that we can influence. Measuring them and changing habits with intent, we become the condition setters in our life and thus more empowered to attain our dreams. Dream on
